Anyone over 18 can apply, and after 12 months as a graduate member (a period of provisional member-ship), during which time you can attend meets and get to know the club, you can apply for full membership. We believe our club fees represent excellent value for money. Joint membership for couples is also available.
Want to try some climbing?
Our club does not provide 'training' and you might want to consider going on an 'absolute beginners course' run by someone like Plas y Brenin, the BMC's (British Mountaineering Council's) main training establishment www.thebmc.co.uk and then enrol as a Graduate Member. Climbing Walls such as the one at West View Leisure Centre in Preston do indoor courses. These are OK during the winter, but are not the 'Real Thing'.
